What it is

Tirzepatide acts on both the GIP and GLP-1 receptors, and its phase-3 trials (SURMOUNT for weight, SURPASS for diabetes) produced some of the largest average weight-loss figures seen in this drug class to date. It's a licensed medicine (Mounjaro / Zepbound) in the UK and elsewhere.

As with semaglutide, we include it because people search for it alongside 'peptides' — but it belongs in the prescription-medicine lane, not the research-chemical one. Unlicensed 'research tirzepatide' carries the same sourcing and quality risks as unlicensed semaglutide.
