What it is

Mazdutide and survodutide are distinct drugs from different companies, both targeting GLP-1 and glucagon receptors together (a different combination than tirzepatide's GIP/GLP-1 approach). Early trial data for both has shown meaningful weight loss alongside potential liver-fat benefits from the glucagon-pathway component.

Neither is an approved medicine anywhere as of writing. We cover them together because they represent the same emerging 'next generation' category the community talks about in the same breath as retatrutide and CagriSema.
